Bow before me, for I am root.
A zillion apps for a Mac
A short memo from out On The Road (with regular posts to resume in a couple of days):
If you've got a Mac, you may have been eyeing the MacHeist software deal, which has two days left before the curtain drops. I've got a PowerBook that could use an infusion of some key titles, and I caved in, plunking down my $49.00.
In return, buyers get a zillion apps! No, wait, I miscounted – it's 14. Or only 13, with one still "unlocked" until the order total nudges up a bit more. But it's some pretty good ones, like new Photoshop challenger Pixelmator (well, no one really challenges the P-man, but you know what I mean), a fine CSS editor (gee, know any sites that could use graphic help? <cough cough>), the revered Snapz Pro X, maybe (if unlocked) a new vector graphics app, and then a bunch of "what the heck" extras.
Take a gander – quickly, time's a-wastin'! – at things over at MacHeist. (Cheerful disclosure: do so using that link, and I possibly stand to gain yet two more apps. And then you can also refer buddies to increase your app haul as well. That's 16 apps total – which, for those of us whose numerical reckoning power craps out at 15, might as well be a zillion.)
Boy, this article wasn't funny at all. Maybe useful, sure, but I normally try to avoid that... Time to get cracking on the humor (such as it is in these parts)!
