Legitimate iPod alternative: Wizpy
Ever hear of the Wizpy? It's news to me too, so I make no recommendation without studying one up close. But it sounds promising: a Linux-based, 60 GB player that can also boot any PC into Linux. (Boy, you thought nervous IT departments had qualms about MP3 players before...)
It's Japan only at present, and even then not until February of next year. I'll try to get my hands on one. But wherever you are in the world, there are sure to be many great devices to follow the Wizpy. If for some reason the iPod isn't your bag, you'll be able to get the music player you want; no need to debase yourself with a Zune.

Ongoin Login Problems (error 10065)
For nearly 2 weeks, I have been trying to login, listening to the "tech support" tell me they are upgrading their systems and to try again in 2 hours. Now after 2 people on the phone for an hour, they tell my they cannot resolve my issue. Nice huh? I have had a Live account for 9 years, it works with every MSN aspect EXCEPT this zune. I have re-installed the zune software both from the web file and the cd multiple times, tried to create new live accounts, and still nothing. Tech support has been absolutely worthless and gives me no hope that whatever the problem is that it's going to be resolved. is ANYONE still having this problem, i'd like to have a reason to not take this worthless mp3 player back to the store because I can't download music from the own company's software.
Zune Login
I am having the same problem running no firewalls, literally a clean install of windows but get error 10065. Whats most frustrating is they have no email support just phone support which takes a considerable amount of more time out of ones day. Also when the error is generated it should give more reason to the error vs just saying logon later. For a big backbone company what are they doing. They are killing my first impression. Meanwhile all I can do is listen to FM, woooaaaa.
